I wanted two tailgating dresses each for the girls (you know, for when my housekeeper doesn't stay on top of the laundry. [side note: yesterday I did 9 loads of laundry. Nine. Sure, it included sheets and a round of cloth diapers, but still, nine.]).
What I love about this dress? It looks effortless and simple.
What I hate about this dress? It was difficult and complicated.
But I'm only referring to the braided collar. I made three different braids of varying color and width, hand stitching them all and finally settling on one. Then I made a cute little bulldog paw to stitch on the dress, but decided against it. I'm obsessed with the final product and am now jealous that I can't fit into it...
** I originally forgot to link to the tutorial that I used for this. Make it and Love it is also where I found inspiration for Joan's braided dress.

Wow. I either need a guaranteed way to have a girl or you need to start practicing your male sewing skills on my boys;) Either way, I'm impressed and it looks great! The paw print would be a cute touch, too.
Ok. That is precious. I love it. And, you can't retire yet!!! Liza needs a dress!
No paw print?? You shouldn't have even told me you were thinking about it-it would be so cute!!
I have to agree with the "more paw print" comments. I am also seriously impressed.
Adorable!
