Making things make life better: Tunic alteration

Love the top. Hate the bottom of this shirt from Old Navy (now only $8!).

I look like a giant pregnant parachute.

So... I cut off a few inches of the bottom, folded it in half and sewed it back on a bit smaller than it was to create a band for the bottom.

And now I just look pregnant.

I love it! I need to do this. I also have some maternity tunic shirts from Old Navy and I must be too short or something bc they look pretty ridiculous on me. I keep putting them on in hopes of them looking better and they just...don't. I'm sure I will get to the point where I don't care.

I am so impressed! You make it sound so easy, I'm almost sorry I gave away all my tunic tops that inevitably look ridiculous by the end--maternity tops should definitely always be loose in the beginning and tight at the end :)

Love it! You are so resourceful!

And I've been patiently waiting for last weekend's WIWS...
